Fairbury FFA News

The Fairbury FFA Chapter has been very busy this fall. The chapter started the fall activities with a parent-alumni picnic in the city park. FFA members attended Husker Harvest Day. The chapter held a number of concessions at Football games. The chapter had many activities during Farm Safety week that included a Safety Day for all K-2 students in our school. The chapter recorded a number of radio spots for KWBE Radio. Members also set-up a Farm Safety Display, during the week. The FFA Chapter teamed up with Orscheln Farm & Home to conduct an Alumni Drive. Six FFA members attended the Regional Soils contest at Syracuse Nebraska. The chapter also conducted a Roadway Safety day. This included a seat belt check and a Demonstration by State Patrolman Bybee. The demonstration showed what happens during a roll over crash. The chapter worked with the local radio station KUTT to hold the Harvest Bonanza during the Fall Harvest Season. FFA members worked at Jansen and Daykin Nebraska for the event. Members are currently busy with Fruit Sales. Leadership Contest Preparation and preparing for a get together with Parents and Alumni.
